Expanding on the fine dining experience in Round Rock is the Main Street Grill located in the historic downtown area of Round Rock. The restaurant opened its doors nine years ago and has been a major catalyst in establishing Main Street as a viable destination for shopping and dining. Executive Chef Mike Davis has taken over shop in recent years and has created a host of delectable dishes for Austin Area residents to enjoy.
The building that Main Street Grill now occupies was previously a bank and inside you’ll find the vault still intact creating a special dining area for guests to eat inside. But things are better kept out in the open at this restaurant. The inside has a quaint, relaxing atmosphere that features new artwork on the walls regularly, as well as a sleek, modern style bar perfect for catching up with friends over a few cocktails.
Executive Chef Davis is well versed in all cooking styles. He has been all over the country cultivating his cooking techniques and recipes and it shows with his versatile menu of flavors and textures that represent all regions of the country. “I take a lot of different flavors and I meld them together,” says Davis. “My inspiration for [the Main Street Grill] is fun food. Things that people haven’t done before.”
Accompanying all the items on the menu is a thorough wine selection providing the right pairing for each unique entrée that Davis prepares. The Main Street Grill serves both lunch and dinner with the menus changing accordingly. The dinner menu features more extravagant entrees while lunch is set up for a more business casual type experience.
Depending on the season, Davis is constantly conjuring up new plates and entrees. The menu is ever changing, with new, featured items being introduced regularly. Customers can always expect a new combination of flavors when they step into the Main Street Grill. They can also expect consistency. Davis takes great pride in allowing his customers the best dining experience he can offer. “I want them to know that they can come and get that level of service and that quality of food and that great wine every single time that they walk in the door.”
